Side Notes: As I was writing this song, I pictured what it would sound like while sitting on a quiet and calm lake in the mountains just as a full moon was coming up over the horizon. When I’ve been camping in the high Uinta mountains, there is nothing quite like the smell and stillness that you experience when all you have is a cool, crisp gentle breeze, with the smell of pine trees, as the sun is going down and the day is coming to an end. If you’ve walked along a lake as the day ends, you know what it’s like, and hopefully this is a soundtrack which fits that feeling. Being by a lake at dusk is one of the things I think of when I need to calm my mind or try to distract myself from something unpleasant. Hopefully the music helps take you to your healing place.
