Yes, we are happy to have our music used for any church service. You are welcome to stream the music. If by chance your congregation subscribes to OneLicense, we would love to have the song reported so we can get a few pennies for the song being used but so long as you aren’t using the music commercially to make money, or sell things, you are welcome to use the music.
You are more than welcome to use my music in YouTube videos so long as it isn’t used for something that might be offensive, hurt other people, or be against traditional Christian values (YouTube will usually take that kind of video down anyway.) YouTube’s algorithms are quite good at flagging songs for artists and collecting and paying artists if there is money made, so please feel free to use my music as much as you would like. It the end, I will likely get a small sliver of any royalty payment and that adds up and helps me feed my family. I’m thrilled to see my music on cat videos (even though I’m more of a dog guy) and even more excited when I see people posting themselves at a piano playing my music.
If you are releasing an album to the streaming platforms of you playing my music, please contact me first. Typically I would not want to have a 2nd recording of one of my songs on the streaming platforms since it would or could compete with my recording and you would technically be required to obtain a license to do this. If you have a unique idea for an arrangement of one of my songs, please reach out to me and my team and let’s talk. I’m always open to collaboration opportunities and don’t want to stifle creativity. Once we talk, if it seems like something that could be a win-win or if I like the idea or recording, I’m not opposed to giving permissions when it make sense.
