Side Notes: This tune came together very quickly over a couple of hours, and then I was lucky enough to be able to record the song in the studio. At first I struggled to find a name for this tune. I played this song at one of my house concerts a few days after I’d written it. I asked the audience to share a tune name they felt fit the song and it was interesting to hear multiple people share that it felt like a hug or lasting embrace that you would give to a loved one. This song completed two years of sharing a new song each month. I’ve been able to grow from the experience of sharing new songs each month. It has been interesting to see how many of the songs I write end up not being shared for sometimes years and others happen to be recorded and used in books.
