This is a classic hymn that typically is sung or played only on or around Easter in many churches. Hopefully this arrangement is unique enough that it can be played more often. I tried to write this so that someone could sing a vocal solo to the arrangement or even play a violin or other solo instrument if they wanted to. As the verses and some phrases transition, be sure not to rush the song. Pull back when it feels right and slow down the music to give it energy as you play through. Don’t be afraid to add a pause or ritard as you play this song.
Includes both the spiral bound book and the CD for Easier Piano Hymns
