Here We Come a Caroling

Side Notes: This is a fun, traditional English Christmas carol and New Year song. It dates back to at least the mid 19th century and was also know by the name Here We Come A-Wassailing. Wassail was a warm drink often made of apples and other spices and ingredients that had also fermented. During the holiday season, people would go door to door singing carols, wishing good health, sharing a cup of wassail, and often giving small gifts. When you play this arrangement, don’t rush the melody. My piano teacher always told me “Speed kills” when it comes to driving fast and also applies to piano music.

This is a digital PDF Sheet music for the song “Here We Come a Caroling” from the piano solo book “Easier Christmas Piano Solos Music Book” by Jason Tonioli.
