Ultimately, Lost and Found is a collection of songs that were not only written, but found again.

Side Notes: This tune started as a sketch about five years ago and had been buried in a folder. If I had not taken the time to go back through old files, it likely would have stayed lost.
One of my favorite parts of this piece is the syncopation throughout, which gives it the feeling of swaying back and forth with a dance partner. If you find yourself struggling with the rhythm, or feel like it would sound better played a different way, feel free to make it your own. I believe that when a musician is given the freedom to interpret a piece in their own way, as long as it sounds good, they will play it better and enjoy it more. Most of us will never be concert pianists, and that is okay. It is important to play for yourself and learn to enjoy the music in a way that feels natural to you.
