Side Notes: This tune came to me the day after Christmas 2023. It was after 10 PM and I just started jotting down an idea for the melody. I came back to it several times over the next few days, and this is what it eventually evolved into. The pattern of the notes throughout the song feels familiar and is similar throughout the song, but it also changes a bit as the song progresses. It feels a bit like I would imagine someone might feel if they were lost, but they knew where they needed to go, and where they would eventually end up.
