About this Song:
Side Notes: This tune came together while I was working on a different song. I had been struggling to find the right ending, and every time I came back to it, nothing seemed to fit. I was on a deadline to finish a song for my Song of the Month members, and as I sat down to try one more time, this tune came instead.
At the time, I had a combination of a head cold and allergies, and I was a little fuzzy from the medicine I had taken. That morning, I wrote this song. By the afternoon, we had it recorded, and later that day I finished the sheet music. It’s rare for a piece to come together this quickly, but in this case, I think it turned out well. Sometimes our best ideas come when we least expect them. The key is
to be ready to listen—and willing to act when inspiration shows up.
