Side Notes: The older I get, the more I think I have noticed things that are beautiful. I have two daughters and as a dad I have loved watching them grow and mature over the years. When I wrote this Linzie was 8 and Kallie was 17. I’ve watched the older one fall in love for the first time over the past few months and have been able to watch as she has received many acts of kindness. Love as it grows can be a beautiful thing to watch develop. My younger daughter has recently been through some discouraging moments in her life where she hasn’t been at a level that she would be selected to be part of a competition team she wanted to be on. I’ve watched as she has faced that disappointment and chosen to work harder and become better vs. deciding to quit or give up. That also has been a beautiful thing to watch unfold. I felt like I was able to capture the soundtrack to both of these growth experiences that my daughters have been through over the past few months. I hope it reminds you of something “Lovely” or “Beautiful” in your life when you hear or play this song.
